gunnercooke has advised Busy Bees Nurseries on it’s acquisition of Kinder Nurseries. A team led by corporate partner Nick Ducker structured and completed the deal, which is the first to complete following Busy Bees’ sale to Ontario Teachers’ Pension Fund in October last year.
Busy Bees is the UK’s largest childcare provider, with 213 children’s nurseries nationwide before this latest acquisition.
Kinder Nurseries has been a trusted nursery-care provider across Kent for over 20 years. The Business comprises 12 nurseries with after-school clubs and a preparatory school. The acquisition will allow the fast-growing Busy Bees Nurseries to significantly increase presence in the South East.
Speaking on the deal, Nick Ducker said; “I am delighted to see Busy Bees continued expansion following the sale to Ontario Teachers last year. The acquisition of Kinder will allow the Group to strengthen position in the South East, and further cements Busy Bees position as the UK’s leading childcare provider.”
