Tim Hamilton has become the latest partner to join gunnercooke, one of the UK’s leading new model corporate and commercial law firms, as corporate partner in its Manchester office.
Hamilton has over 25 years’ experience in the Manchester market and joins the firm from Addleshaw Goddard. During his time at Addleshaw, Hamilton held the position of corporate partner, as well as being head of clients and markets for five years. In these roles, Hamilton has represented some of the region’s best-known companies and private equity houses, and has been at the centre of a number of high profile transactions. He led the ISIS investment in and successful exit of Bench, the Ardwick-based clothing brand, and the MBO and subsequent IPO of Eurocamp.
Darryl Cooke, partner at gunnercooke, said: “Tim is one of the most experienced corporate lawyers in the market and is well known for his strong relationships with private equity houses and being at the heart of regional dealmaking. In four years, gunnercooke has grown to 56 partners across our offices in Manchester and London and it is very gratifying when partners of Tim’s calibre choose to join us.
“We are confident that Tim will play a major part in our continuing growth, and I am very much looking forward to working alongside him.”
Tim Hamilton said: “It is an exciting time to be joining gunnercooke. The legal services market continues to be subject to fundamental change and it is imperative that as a profession we adapt our models to meet the new challenges that clients are setting for us.
“The opportunity with gunnercooke is to take its innovative model and adapt it for the benefit of its clients and the wider private equity market.”
