Jayne is a specialist in defending criminal prosecutions arising out of the breach of Regulatory laws. She has worked with individuals and companies across multiple industries including the construction sector, the port industry, the waste management sector and the food retail sector.

She works with clients to assess and minimize the risks facing them in internal and external investigations and advises on liabilities and proceedings arising from investigations by regulatory bodies including The Health & Safety Executive, Food Standards Agency and The Environment Agency.

Able to provide assistance from the first indications that a regulatory investigation is taking place, Jayne can provide representation at interviews under caution and carry out detailed privileged investigations. She approaches her preparation with meticulous care and her hands-on approach and thorough investigations are valued by her clients.

Jayne is personable and gets to the heart of the issues by asking the right questions to enable a proper analysis of the facts, often working to tight deadlines and always remaining aware of client’s budget constraints.

Once a matter has been litigated, Jayne has the experience to advise Defendants on their plea, the benefits of an early guilty plea and on culpability and harm within the Sentencing guideline framework. Her preparation for mitigation is scrupulous in detail.
