Finlay is an Associate in the real estate team with extensive experience advising on real estate finance and commercial property matters, with a strong focus on secured lending, leasing and development transactions in Scotland.

He regularly acts for lenders and borrowers on a broad range of real estate finance transactions, including residential and commercial bridging finance, term lending, refinances and portfolio acquisitions involving residential, commercial and mixed-use assets.

Alongside his finance practice, Finlay has extensive experience advising landlords and tenants on commercial leasing matters across the retail, office and industrial sectors, as well as undertaking significant amount of development work, particularly within the roadside retail sector, advising on petrol station and drive-thru developments from site acquisition through to development, funding and occupational arrangements.
