Expertise

Eric is a Fractional General Counsel and entertainment and technology attorney with more than 30 years of experience working at the intersection of law, business, and the creative industries. Over the course of his career, he has advised producers, performers, and companies on how to structure deals, protect their rights, and move projects from concept to execution. His work has evolved over time, spanning traditional film, television, and Broadway, as well as emerging areas such as streaming, artificial intelligence, and blockchain. Throughout, Eric has focused on understanding not just the legal question, but what the client is ultimately trying to build and how to help them get there.

That perspective continues to shape his work today as he partners with founders, executives, and creators in a fractional General Counsel capacity. Eric is often brought into situations where legal and business considerations are closely intertwined, whether structuring complex transactions, navigating rights and licensing issues, or supporting new ventures. His role is to provide clear, practical guidance that allows clients to move forward with confidence, particularly in fast-moving or uncertain environments.

Over the years, Eric has worked on matters that reflect both the scale and diversity of his practice. His experience includes negotiating an eight-figure talent agreement for a leading digital media brand, representing the authors of Come From Away in connection with a globally successful production, and structuring Rule 506(b) private placements that raised more than $100 million. He has also negotiated agreements tied to projects such as The Lord of the Rings and Def Poetry Jam, while handling a high volume of commercial, licensing, and rights agreements. These experiences have shaped a practice that is both transactional and strategic, grounded in practical business execution.

In addition to his legal practice, Eric is an entrepreneur and founder of a consumer wellness brand, where he oversees product development, operations, and sales. Building and growing a business has provided him with a unique perspective on the advice he offers clients, one rooted in the realities of managing and scaling an organization.
