György joined OPL gunnercooke in April 2022 in order to lead the intellectual property (IP) practice of the firm. György worked previously at the IP practice group of international law firms and spent one year at a German leading IP firm, Bardehle Pagenberg in Münich.

György gained significant experience in strategic planning of IP portfolios, enforcement of IP rights in more than 50+ countries, regularly handles oppositions and invalidity procedure (both related to trademarks and designs) before the EUIPO and the Hungarian IP Office.

He has experience advising on a breadth of IP matters relating to patents, domains, software, confidentiality, malicious falsehood, registered designs, licensing, brand protection, IP enforcement, litigation, and branding. Spending significant time as a seconded inhouse counsel György has experience in general commercial matters and understands the business needs. He is an IP-law lecturer at Budapest University of Technology and Economics and frequently mentors start-ups.

György is passionate about cars and travelling.
