Reputation Management

Expertise

Julian has 35 years of experience in the field of reputation management. Today, this typically involves advising on the law of defamation, privacy, data protection, confidence, copyright and harassment across a wide range of scenarios to include dealing with pre- and post-publication issues with traditional media; crisis handling; dis- and misinformation campaigns; AI generated content, de-banking issues; #Me-Too issues; preventative steps to reduce or mitigate against reputational risk; online stalking. Julian will devise and execute strategies to achieve the best outcomes for clients, with much of his work today having a substantial international element.

Julian’s client base is extremely broad and includes (U)HNWIs, families, prominent individuals, corporates, sports, entertainment, and charities. He has extensive experience of advising on high-profile, high stakes cases where the issues are complex, demanding and evolving. Unusually, Julian also previously advised for twenty years significant players in the UK media market, giving him a unique insight, leading to him understanding the “art of the possible”.

He works closely with other advisers from his extensive network to include communications, investigators, digital experts, foreign lawyers, banking consultants, behavioural experts, and psychologists. This recognises the complexity of cases and to achieve the most favourable outcomes for clients, it is necessary to involve other critical skills-sets.
