Oliver Huq is a lawyer with over fifteen years’ experience advising businesses on a wide range of commercial legal matters. He is known for his practical, hands-on approach and for delivering clear, commercially focused advice.

He specialises in international business law, with particular emphasis on public procurement, compliance, data protection, IP/IT, dispute resolution (litigation and ADR), and the drafting and negotiation of complex commercial contracts. A key focus of his work lies in the security and defence sector.

Oliver also regularly acts as interim legal counsel, supporting organisations that do not have in-house legal capacity or require additional legal expertise. In this role, he combines legal precision with a strong understanding of commercial and operational realities.

His clients include global technology companies, innovators and disruptors across sectors such as software, engineering, mobility, healthcare and defence.

He advises on the full range of civil and commercial matters, including construction-related contracts (such as supply, distribution, service and consortium agreements), general terms and conditions, cooperation and confidentiality agreements, employment law matters, competition law, corporate and compliance issues, distribution and antitrust law, as well as all aspects of intellectual property, including copyright and trade marks. He also advises on public procurement and corporate communications.

He works with international corporates, SMEs, investors, non-profit organisations, as well as founders, executives and shareholders.
