Oliver Huq is a lawyer with over fifteen years of professional experience. He advises companies on almost all legal matters that may arise and is characterised by his practice-oriented work and hands-on mentality. Oliver’s clients include global IT companies as well as tech innovators and disruptors covering a wide range of industries from software development to engineering to mobility, medical and military.

Oliver can also advise his clients as legal counsel if their in-house lawyer is temporarily unavailable or if there is no in-house legal department at all.

Oliver advises on all civil and contract law matters (e.g. construction law, distribution, service, consortium and supply agreements, general terms and conditions, cooperation and non-disclosure agreements etc.), employment law (employment contracts, terminations, outsourcing etc.), competition law (prosecution of competition law infringements and defence against warnings etc.), corporate law (e.g. corporate housekeeping, compliance management etc.) and the law of unfair competition, corporate law (e.g. corporate housekeeping, compliance management and data protection etc.), distribution and antitrust issues as well as trademark and other intellectual property matters (copyrights, IP rights etc.).

As part of his expertise in press law as a long-standing IT editor, he is also happy to advise in administrative proceedings (right to information under press law vis-à-vis authorities, etc.) and is  happy to support in developing a strong corporate communications strategy from a legal and a PR perspective.

Oliver supports and represents his clients in negotiations and in legal disputes in and out of court. He advises on issues relating to company succession, estate planning and the protection of companies under matrimonial law.
