Sarah Prior is a trainee CILEX lawyer specialising in non-contentious construction law. With an extensive background working both in-house and in private practice, she advises clients across the construction sector on projects of every scale.

Sarah has particular experience in drafting and negotiating a wide variety of construction documents, including JCT and NEC contracts, collateral warranties, novation agreements, as well as bespoke forms and amendments tailored to the needs of funders, developers, contractors, and consultants. She regularly supports clients through all stages of the project lifecycle, from procurement to completion.

Prior to joining the firm as a trainee, Sarah served as in-house counsel at Sweco UK Limited for eight years (March 2013 – November 2021), working closely with technical teams on complex infrastructure schemes. She then spent almost four years at Birketts (November 2021 – August 2025) acting for a diverse range of construction clients. Her experience includes the redevelopment of a football training ground and acting for a large developer on the procurement of a central London development, including a multipurpose, high-end building. She also has particular expertise in due diligence work for real estate transactions.

Sarah is currently completing her professional training with CILEX Law School, with the aim of qualifying as a CILEX Lawyer.
