gunnercooke continues international growth with 19 appointments across the UK, DACH region and US in Q2 2026

gunnercooke has welcomed 19 exceptional legal professionals across the UK, DACH region and the US in Q2. A strong signal of the firm’s continued momentum and global ambition. 

The quarter saw expansion across several key practice areas, with growth in real estate, corporate, dispute resolution and private client services. 

UK 

The UK led growth this quarter, with 14 talented professionals joining the firm. 

Real estate continued to be a key area for the firm. Scott Pearman and Louis Manches joined as Partners in London, with Helen Bridgman adding Senior Associate depth in Leeds. Jason Wong further strengthened the practice as a new Associate specialising in real estate finance in London. 

The firm also grew its corporate and commercial offering with the appointment of David Armitage as Corporate Partner and Kerry Linacre as Commercial, Technology and Debt Sale Partner in Leeds. Furthermore, Patrick Keown also joined as Banking and Finance Partner in London. 

London also saw a wave of senior Partner appointments spanning some of the firm’s most in-demand practice areas. New appointments included Kali Yau as Planning Law Partner, Sanjay Mehta as Tax Partner, Julian Pike as Reputation Management Partner, and Juliet Petchey as Partner specialising in Litigation, Contentious Probate and Compliance. 

The dispute resolution and private client teams also welcomed new talent, with Jonathan Weitzmann as Senior Associate in Dispute Resolution, Emma Newton as Associate in Family Law, and Jake McLaughlin as a Real Estate Finance Associate in London. 

DACH 

The DACH team saw three new Partners and Associates start across Germany and Switzerland during Q2, deepening the firm’s international reach and expertise across corporate, finance and energy law. 

In Germany, Mana Ghofrani joined the Düsseldorf office as an Associate specialising in Energy. The Munich team was reinforced by the appointment of Kai-Alexander Bischoff as Partner, bringing expertise in Commercial, Corporate and Aviation Law. 

In Switzerland, the firm welcomed Pavel Izmaylov in the Zurich office as a Banking and Finance Partner. 

US 

Across the US, the firm welcomed two new Partners, expanding the firm’s offering across tax, corporate and emerging technology-related advisory services. 

Patrick McCormick joined as a Partner specialising in Tax, Trusts and Estates, bringing extensive experience in private client advisory matters. 

The US team was further strengthened by the appointment of Karla R. Pascarella as Partner specialising in Corporate Law, AI Governance, Renewables and Sustainability at gunnercooke.
