The gunnercooke group has 16 main global offices across England, Scotland, the US, Germany and Austria, with further plans for growth in the coming years. These offices enhance the existing in-house capability of our dedicated international teams and dual-qualified experts that cover Spain, France, Italy, Portugal, Brazil, China, India, Poland and Hungary. Our team have clients across 123 jurisdictions, speak 46 languages and are dual-qualified in 21 jurisdictions. Our expertise means we can offer large teams to carry out complex cross-border matters for major international clients.

gunnercooke accelerates global growth with 22 appointments in Q3
Marking another quarter of strong international growth, gunnercooke has expanded its operations with new Partners across the UK, Germany, Austria, and the US.
UK
The UK team continued its strong momentum into Q3, welcoming a further 13 new Partners across a wide range of practice areas.
The Real Estate practice remains a key driver of growth, with five new starters. Bryan Finlayson joins as a Commercial Real Estate Partner (Scottish qualified), alongside Molly Qureshi, Andrew Peach, Justin Yeoh and Dennis Ko.
In Dispute Resolution, the team continues to expand with the arrivals of two Partners, Rohit Ralleigh and Russell Strong. Both bring significant experience in complex commercial disputes.
The firm also enhanced its offering in specialist areas, with Marcus Rickard and Rohit Sharma joining the White-Collar Crime and Fraud team, and Alex Levinger as a Partner specialising in Privacy law.
Further additions include Nick Williams as a Commercial IT Partner, and Amy Lane, Private Client Partner, specifically working with High-Net-Worth Individuals on tax issues. Julie Taylor also joins the firm as a Family Law Partner.
Europe
gunnercooke’s growth across continental Europe continues at pace, with new appointments strengthening its presence in Germany and Austria.
In Germany, the firm welcomes Annett Hartwecker, a Public Procurement & Public Law Partner, alongside Axel Schmidt, who joins the Commercial and Corporate team.
Dr Carl Zimmer adds depth to the firm’s IP capabilities, specialising in Trademarks, Designs and Copyright, while Dr Vera Luickhardt strengthens the Employment Law offering.
Michael Dietz joins as a Dispute Resolution Partner, bringing significant experience in complex litigation and arbitration matters.
Dominik Bildt, a specialist in Tax Law, completes the line-up, supporting clients with strategic and cross-border tax advice.
Finally, over in Austria, Dr Hannes Winkler joins the Real Estate team, offering extensive expertise in Real Estate law and development projects.
US
Our US presence also continues to expand, with two new partners joining the firm. Carl Volz joined as a Business Litigation specialist and William Brodzinski strengthening our Real Estate and Corporate capabilities.

To support with the firm’s continued growth, earlier this year gunnercooke appointed Ashley and Hayden Cooke as Chief of Staffs in the UK, and James Goulbourne as Chief of Staff in the US.
gunnercooke has also welcomed seven Operating Partners to the firm across the globe, including: Wes Himes, Sally Hawkins, Siavash Beikoghli-Kalkhoran, Muj Malik, Sunita Bhambri, Louis Roddam, and Raja Nbigui.
