What do you love about your job?

I can go on great holidays and don’t have to buy meal deals if I don’t want to (although I generally do as the Yorkshire in me won’t allow anything else)!

Seriously though, despite the static nature of the legislation – 1925 being the last major change – no two days are ever the same.  I advise on all manner of different properties from £50m super prime offices to £100k residential buy-to-lets and for a wide range of lenders, each with their own driving factors.

This specialist area of recovery work also tends to be much more tactical and driven by commercial decisions than many more mainstream recovery work (such as administrations/liquidations).

Having worked solely in this niche area for coming up to 20 years, I love the additional value add I can offer from my specialist wealth of experience.

How would you describe the gunnercooke culture?

gunnercooke has an inclusive culture and simultaneously provides its fee earners with the ability to build their own businesses as they wish.

The firm listens to its fee earners and responds to the needs and wishes of its people.

Despite its size, it also offers bespoke support where required to assist individual practices to grow.
