Adam is a partner in the Real Estate team based in our Leeds office. He has comprehensive experience spanning over 12 years acting for developers, land promoters, landowners, investors, retailers, universities and local authorities.

Adam has expertise dealing with development and strategic land (both residential and commercial). He advises on all aspects of site assembly, acquisition and disposal including promotion agreements, forward funding agreements, collaboration agreements, option agreements, conditional contracts and overage agreements. Adam also works with commercial landlords and tenants across the retail, education, office and industrial sectors, dealing with their lettings and property portfolio management.

Adam enjoys working closely with his clients to deliver projects in line with their objectives. He is known for his “can do” attitude and providing high quality pragmatic legal advice. Adam has been consistently recognised in Legal 500 and Chambers for his work in the Real Estate sector.

  • Acting for a local authority in connection with a £165m city centre shopping centre development, including the CPO acquisition of various land interests to deliver the development and the ultimate disposal to the Council’s development partner.
  • Acting for an international retailer in relation to the management of their property portfolio of over 100 stores, including dealing with acquisitions and disposal of retail premises.
  • Acting for a university dealing with all aspects of the management of their campus sites across the UK.
  • Acting for a national strategic land promoter in connection with the acquisition and disposal of a site in Knaresborough for in excess of £30m.
  • Acting for a regional developer on the forward funding acquisition, lettings and subsequent disposal of a retail scheme in Somerset.
