Florian Roetzer has over 25 years’ experience in advising companies on corporate law, national and international M&A transactions, and setting up joint ventures and distribution systems.

In 2012, he was appointed a Certified Specialist Lawyer in Commercial and Corporate Law by the Munich Bar Association.

He is strongly dedicated to the European legal market, particularly the German-Spanish market, having practised as a lawyer in Spain for several years and being admitted to the German and Spanish bars.

Florian Roetzer has acted as leading counsel on the following mandates, providing advice on:

  • a Norwegian technology group on the acquisition of several German IT companies dedicated to software development, embedded solutions and the automotive sector;
  • a German manufacturer and provider of organic food on the international strategic sale of the family business, with the management remaining in the company;
  • a Spanish textile group on the acquisition of a German niche manufacturer and supplier of high-quality yarns and threads;
  • a German subsidiary of an Italian shopfitting company on setting up an international joint venture;
  • a Spanish automotive supplier specialising in the manufacture of metal components on acquiring two production sites in Germany from an insolvent company;
  • a Spanish brewery in a dispute with its German distributor regarding the termination of the distribution agreement;
  • a Spanish food manufacturer setting up a distribution system in Germany.

Florian Roetzer studied law at the Universities of Passau and CEU San Pablo in Madrid. He also completed the Master’s programme in Mergers and Acquisitions at the University of Münster (LL.M.).

He has worked as a lawyer for national and international law firms in Düsseldorf, Barcelona and Munich, including Hoffmann Liebs, PwC Legal, Schiller Abogados, rwzh Rechtsanwälte and Seufert Rechtsanwälte.
