Janine works with clients as early as possible to attempt to resolve issues satisfactorily without the for proceedings but provides robust representation in both litigation and arbitration where necessary to achieve an acceptable outcome.

  • Acting for a European Private Bank in respect of claims against 2 high profile retail and investment banks regarding credit linked notes referencing RMBS
  • Acting for a South Asian pharmaceutical company in respect of a dispute about margin calls totalling c. £21m in respect of currency derivatives
  • Acting for engineers defending a claim for c. £45m in respects of defects in a major motorway structure
  • Acting for an Eastern European entity enforcing an arbitration award in England including applying for a freezing order in respect of funds passing through European clearing system and co-ordination of enforcement efforts in other jurisdictions
