Commercial Real Estate

Expertise

Law and Wine both have an undeserved reputation for being stuffy, archaic and full of incomprehensible jargon. But done right, Law and Wine can both be accessible, dynamic and even exciting.

It is an exciting time for the UK wine industry with English wine receiving more accolades on the international market.  I am the Founder of The Wine and Spirits Legal Group which provides legal advice to the drinks industry.

I am also a Sommelier with the Italian Sommelier Association, WSET Level 3 Certified in Wine and continuously educate myself on wine to stay on top of what is happening.  I can be found picking grapes at harvest time in my local vineyard as well as judging at several wine competitions (including for the Thames & Chilterns Valley Vineyards Association).

I have 14 years’ experience in real estate law and real estate finance and enjoy long-term, close relationships with my clients (some of whom have been with me for 8 years and counting).  My clients value having my expertise at the end of the phone and straight-talking approach.  I believe in communicating regularly with my clients so we can discuss issues and solutions as they arise and so they are never left in the dark.  My Wine Legal Guide here gives further information.

Why my clients say they like working with me:

  • Always gives a decisive view, offers solutions and never sits on the fence.
  • Explains stuff to us in plain English.
  • Spots roadblocks and red flags on deals well ahead of time.
