gunnercooke appoints Matthew Dashper-Hughes as International Director
gunnercooke has appointed Matthew Dashper-Hughes as International Director following the firm’s growth into Germany and the US, as well as its legal technology office in Hungary.
Matthew has a background in senior leadership, business development and operations and extensive experience in the client-side experience of legal services. Previous roles for major brands have included Managing Director of Bargain Booze for 12 years, leading a PE-backed MBO, and Chief Operating Officer for Ryman. He has been coaching, mentoring and training founders, entrepreneurs, business owners and leaders on how to grow their operations for the past five years.
Working alongside the leadership team and partners in gunnercooke’s international offices on growth strategy, Matthew will be helping to grow the firm’s presence overseas in existing and new regions. He will also be responsible for the global operations side of the business and ensuring a smooth expansion for gunnercooke, now the fastest growing UK-based law firm.
Matthew commented: “I’ve been working with gunnercooke’s team as a coach for a number of years now and I’m thrilled to officially join them as International Director. This is an incredibly exciting and fast-paced business, growing rapidly in multiple jurisdictions, so I’m looking forward to helping them navigate this next phase.”

gunnercooke is expanding rapidly overseas, launching four German offices in 2020, two Scotland offices in 2021, gunnercooke Tech in Hungary in April 2022, and its first US office in New York in 2022.
