Jacob is a Senior Legal Advisor in the gunnercooke Employment Team advising on the full range of contentious and non-contentious employment issues.

He regularly represents clients in the Employment Tribunal and Courts, and has appeared as advocate in over 40 hearings, covering claims such as unfair dismissal, whistleblowing and discrimination. He has significant experience of the legal and tactical skills required to successfully resolve employment disputes; either through settlement or, if that is not possible, through litigation.

Jacob works closely with gunnercooke Partners Shilpen Savani and Paul Ryman.

Acting for a senior marketing executive in an employment tribunal claim for unfair dismissal and age discrimination, resulting in a high value settlement following judicial mediation.
Acting for a Russian national in a high value and complex employment tribunal claim for unfair dismissal and sex discrimination, involving two successful cross border jurisdiction judgments, and four separate Employment Appeal Tribunal appeals.
Acting for a senior executive in an employment and shareholding dispute, securing a high value settlement and taking successful steps to enforce the terms of the settlement through a winding-up petition.
Acting for a Managing Director of an insurance company in a complex employment and shareholding dispute.
Acting for the owner of several nurseries in successfully defending allegations of religious belief discrimination and harassment in the Employment Tribunal.
