July 3, 2026

gunnercooke has advised the management team of Network Plus, one of the UK’s leading utility and infrastructure service providers, on the investment by global growth investor Warburg Pincus, which is acquiring the business from OMERS Private Equity and existing shareholders. The gunnercooke team was led by Corporate Partner Nick Ducker, supported by Tax Partner Saad Ahmed and Corporate Partner Mark Langford, advising the Network Plus management team throughout the transaction.

The investment signifies a milestone for Network Plus as it continues to support the delivery, maintenance and enhancement of critical utility infrastructure across the UK. The transaction is a high-profile investment in the UK infrastructure sector and positions the business for its next phase of growth.

Nick Ducker, Corporate Partner at gunnercooke, said: “We are delighted to have supported the management team of Network Plus on this landmark transaction. Advising management teams through transformative investments requires a deep understanding of their commercial objectives and the dynamics of complex private equity transactions. Now that terms have been agreed, we wish the team success as they embark on this exciting new chapter with Warburg Pincus.”

Client comment (Ryan Imison, Head of M&A): ‘gunnercooke were a trusted adviser to the management team throughout the transaction, building on our long-standing relationship over the course of many years. Their commercial, pragmatic approach and ability to navigate issues gave us confidence at every stage of the process. It was a pleasure working with them, and I would not hesitate to recommend them’
