gunnercooke welcomes 100 partners and clients to charity auction and polo event

July 11, 2024

gunnercooke recently hosted a charity auction at their polo networking event at the prestigious and scenic Kirtlington Polo Park Club in Oxford.

Welcoming 19 partners and 75 clients, the event was also attended by the beneficiary of the charity auction, Homeless Oxfordshire, the county’s largest not-for-profit provider of accommodation for people experiencing homelessness.

Supplying a wide range of specialist support services, Homeless Oxfordshire specialise in helping those who have experienced deep social exclusion, including institutional care and substance use, enabling them to rebuild their lives.

Managing Partner of gunnercooke Germany, Wolfgang Richter, and firm co-founder Sarah Goulbourne, joined gunnercooke Partners and clients to spend the day in the sun, playing polo and reconnecting, as well as digging deep to raise much-needed funds for Homeless Oxfordshire. It was a wonderful chance for our Partners and clients to meet each other in person, some for the first time, and make important connections and contacts.

The charity auction was hosted by Justin Neal, Commercial Real Estate Partner and founder of ‘gunnercooke polo.’ He auctioned off items including a family membership to the polo club and a bespoke gunnercooke polo jacket.

Sarah Goulbourne, co-founder of gunnercooke, added: “As a business, our purpose has always been to leave the world in a better place than we have found it, which is why I am proud to share that we have integrated charity support throughout some of our networking events.

“Additionally, at gunnercooke, we like to foster a culture of collaboration and community, so it was great to see our partners and their clients reconnect or make new work-connections. I cannot wait to see what our next exciting event will entail.”
