Investor Visa Ended
In an unexpected announcement recently, the UK government ended the investor visa. A visa route offered to foreign investors as a fast-track to residency in the UK along with the potential for a British passport in the future. Could there be more visas ready for the axe?
Talk has been looming regarding the introduction of new visa routes for businesses and entrepreneurs. This is very soon on the horizon. This has caused concern for the Representative of an Overseas Business visa, one of the most business-friendly visas. The scheme allowed a representative of a foreign business to set up a branch or subsidiary in the UK. Eligibility requirements are minimal and the approval process is rather quick. It is believed among the immigration law community that this visa will be replaced.
