Cannes 2025: Connections, Boules and the Future of Real Estate
The gunnercooke Real Estate team recently visited Cannes during the MIPIM exhibition, a week-long urban festival bringing together global experts from the world of real estate.
Now in its 35th edition, MIPIM is the go-to event on the global real estate calendar, attracting over 20,000 delegates from 90 countries, worth a total estimated £4.3 trillion in funds. The event hosts investor opportunities, sustainable urban projects, and sessions by political and industry leaders. During the week, gunnercooke Partners had the opportunity to engage with business opportunities from the UK, US, APAC, BRICS, and EMEA.
It was a strong year for the delegation, as MIPIM 2025 organisers reported a resurgence in real estate as major global investors regain market optimism. Significant investments announced at MIPIM 2025 included London’s latest investment prospectus with £22 billion of investible opportunities; the Media and Innovation District in Diriyah, Riyadh, as part of a $63.2 billion masterplan; and a £2 billion Old Trafford regeneration plan featuring a new 100,000-capacity stadium for Manchester United.
gunnercooke’s annual Boules Fight has quickly become one of the most popular events in the Cannes calendar, co-hosted with Watts Commercial Finance Ltd and Merlin Insurance Brokers. Now in its 5th year, our 2025 event was our biggest to date, attracting 180 international delegates from across Real Estate business sectors to the renowned gunnercooke arena!
The trip was a huge success for gunnercooke Partners, ensuring strengthened business relationships and fostering new connections with clients for the upcoming year.
