gunnercooke Co-Founder releases short story to inspire business leaders to act with moral purpose

July 20, 2021

Darryl Cooke, Co-Founder of gunnercooke has published The Square Mile, a short fictional story with the aim of encouraging business leaders to act with moral purpose.

The book is part of gunnercooke’s Inspiring Leadership series and is illustrated by Lisa Williams.

Darryl commented: “This short story follows a business owner who is awakened to the challenges of those around him, and who uses his business as a force for good. The issues in this story are very much reflective of the real issues we are facing in society today. I hope this will encourage business leaders to look at the Square Mile around their desks and to act with moral purpose.”

Darryl Cooke is the co-founder and visionary behind game-changing corporate law firm gunnercooke and its social enterprise, the gunnercooke foundation, which connects business leaders with charitable organisations.

As well as being author of the book ‘To Innovate or Not to Innovate’, Darryl regularly speaks out on issues around CSR and conscious capitalism and launched the ‘Inspiring Leadership’ content series to inspire businesses to do better. As well as The Square Mile short story, content includes blogs, a podcast series and a magazine around the theme of moral purpose.

The Square Mile is now available on Amazon.
