gunnercooke appoints 16 new partners including Private Equity, Charity, and Competition lawyers

Corporate law firm gunnercooke has continued its recruitment drive over winter, welcoming 16 new partners across areas including Private Equity, Charities and Competition.

Hires include the firm’s first Competition and Antitrust lawyers, Rod Lambert and Alexander Waksman, as well as Private Equity & Corporate specialist joining from one of the largest firms in Dubai, Sameer Huda.  

Another new department from the firm comes with the hire of Michele Price, a Charities & Philanthropy Partner acting for some of the UK’s largest not-for-profits.

The London office has seen particular growth thanks to the arrival of Banking & Finance expert Nicola Ezra, Corporate lawyer Moira O’Hara, Pensions specialist Celine Mather-Franks, and Corporate Partner Janis Wilderspin.

Following gunnercooke’s launch in Scotland earlier in 2021, the firm has bolstered presence with Corporate Partner John McMuldroch. The firm’s northern offices have also seen significant hires, including Dispute Resolution Partner Stephen Hadley, who joins from Freeths, Rebecca Latus in Dispute Resolution, and Joan Pettingill, a Yorkshire-based Employment lawyer.

The most recent Partners to join the team are Gemma Sullivan in Real Estate, Timothy Elliot in Dispute Resolution and Anthony Lee in Commercial / IP.  Erol Cacouratos also joins the firm’s management consultancy practice, gunnercooke Operating Partners.
