Experience Highlights

  • Accompaniment of negotiations between the European Commission and representatives of Chinese solar module manufacturers on the introduction of anti-dumping and anti-subsidy tariffs in the EU; implementation of measures
  • Legal support of a project for the construction and operation of a municipal district heating supply system
  • Sale of a UK solar park developer to a major Chinese company;
  • Sale of UK port and manufacturing facility to major German company;
  • Restructure and funding of a Group of international renewable energy companies in the UK;
  • Development of hydroelectric schemes, wind farms, and solar park developments in the UK for UK and international companies, including the acquisition of companies owning developed schemes.
  • Advised Vattenfall in relation to its market entry in Germany and subsequent reorganisations
  • Leading negotiations on the construction of the UK’s largest solar farm at RAF Coltishall.
  • Advising a developer of a 30MW energy recovery facility in NE Scotland in respect of its seed and HNW funding round, feedstock supply contracts, project finance and EPC contract procurement.
  • Advised the developer of a 1.1MW anaerobic digestion facility on a dairy farm on all corporate, financing and commercial contract arrangements for the development of the project. Negotiated all feedstock (slurry/silage) supply, digestate offtake, heat off-take and private wire electricity supply arrangements, finance agreements and associated step-in arrangements.
  • Responsible for corporate and finance law in a project-financed company operating a 400MW offshore windfarm in the German exclusive economic zone in the North Sea (in house)
  • Leading the internal teams, shareholders and external advisors in negotiating and executing a EUR 520 million refinancing of the company’s syndicated bank loans (in house)
